Day 25 - April 2, 2013

Dear Friends,

We are on line (thank you Verizon Guy) and broadcasting "live" from beautiful downtown Pan-Timonium. You will see that this is one day late, but...Be Blessed.

Poem

In the beginning
was the cold
and the cold was with winter
whose wrath ruled the world,
in the beginning.

And warmth looked down and said,
'This is not good.'
He sent a month called March, by name.
The same, as a witness, came
to bear witness to warmth.

March, the brazen bragger, said,
"Give me your tired, your haggard, your dead,
for he who looks on the flowers to come
will gladly be given the powers to come,
and he will be called the Son of Spring."

April came into the world
not to condemn the world
but to join Spring to Winter
and to verify the vows of union.

(Blessed are the peace-makers,
pact makers, mediators,
for they shall be inherit the Warmth.)

April was begotten by Warmth,
descended through virgin snow,
tacked to a daffodil,
sealed in a cocoon,
and resurrected on a butterfly.
(He that believeth shall never freeze,
but have everlasting Spring.)

But man, falsely proud, turned his head toward Winter
and grumbled,"April?.................Fool!"                                                     sls

Prayer

From all blindness of heart, from pride, vainglory, and hypocrisy; from envy, hatred, and malice, and all uncharitableness, Good Lord, deliver us.

                                                                                                 The Book of Common Prayer
